On 23-24 January, TRUST-PV, the 4-year Horizon 2020 funded project, will organise two sessions at the Solar Quality Summit Europe 2024 conference in Barcelona.
The first workshop ‘Testing and assessing the market readiness of digital technologies,’ will take place on 23 January, 12.00 – 13.15. This workshop will explore key innovations, like for example, storage flexibility services, along the entire solar value chain, revealing the results of their performance in the field, and assessing their market readiness. A key hurdle for new technologies in Europe is bridging the gap between prototype and market readiness, i.e. ‘lab-to-fab.’
The session will be moderated by Giuliano Luchetta Martins, Solar Data Analyst for Statkraft UK. He will be joined by:
- Vasso Katsiki, Product Manager, BEESS/Control & Grid Integration, Inaccess by Power Factors;
- Marion Lafuma, Business Development Manager, Reuniwatt;
- Marcel Suri, CEO of Solargis.
TRUST-PV’s second workshop, ‘Preventive mitigation measures for more accurate PV plant design,’ will take place on 24 January, 10.30 -11.45. This workshop will focus on how to reduce any potential risks in solar power plant design, and the importance of building quality assurance into the planning phase of a solar project.
David Moser, Head of the Photovoltaic Energy System Research group, at the Institute for Renewable Energy (Eurac Research), and European Technology and Innovation Platform for Photovoltaics (ETIP PV) Vice-Chair, will moderate the session, which will also include presentations from:
- Héctor Lucas Forasté, Pre-Sales Engineer, PVcase;
- Ismail Kaaya, Research and Development Engineer, IMEC,
- Alba Alcañiz Moya, PhD Candidate, Delft University of Technology;
- Jonathan Leloux, Managing Director, LuciSun.
