Press Release

25 June 2024

ROME, Italy (25 June, 2024): From 25-28 June, TRUST-PV, the 4-year Horizon 2020 funded project, will hold a concluding week of activities in Rome with its final General Assembly, and a Green Energy Training (GET) week for partners and stakeholders.

During the week, TRUST-PV partners will:

  • Organise panel sessions
  • Present the projects’ results
  • Hold on-site trainings and demonstrations
  • Participate in a solar PV plant tour under the management of BayWa r.e.

This event will serve as a perfect opportunity to connect and explore the advanced solar technologies that are setting new industry standards.

Reflecting on the ending of the project, David Moser, Head of the Photovoltaic Energy System Research group, at the Institute for Renewable Energy (Eurac Research), and European Technology and Innovation Platform for Photovoltaics (ETIP PV) Vice-Chair said;

“TRUST-PV is recognised as a flagship project in developing innovation in the field of solar PV performance and reliability. This was possible thanks to a mix of creative minds, engaged partners, and the willingness to move together towards the common goal of demonstrating an increase in performance and reliability of solar PV components, systems, and large portfolios of distributed and utility-scale solar PV. The "breaking silos" state of mind has allowed us to work together in a value chain approach, and we strongly believe that the message is being heard.”

Thomas Garabetian, member of the ETIP PV Secretariat, and R&I Manager at SolarPower Europe (he/him) said;

“TRUST-PV is a great example of a European project that brings researchers and industry together. Through co-operation and a comprehensive ‘lab-to-field’ approach, the 21 project partners delivered breakthrough innovation to make European solar plants more efficient and reliable, via digital solutions, including tools for predictive maintenance, and improved operation and maintenance (O&M) practices. Projects like TRUST-PV will play a critical role in driving the solar PV research and innovation field forwards.”

SolarPower Europe was a consortium member of TRUST-PV, which focused on improving the performance and reliability of solar power plants.
