Solar Excellence Shines Through: Solar Start-Up Award 2023

•  Enernite have been awarded the Solar Start-Up Award 2023 for their digital platform, which makes it faster and easier to plan and build solar farms.

Brussels, BELGIUM (Friday 10th March): Enernite have been awarded the Solar Start-Up Award 2023 for their online platform that helps solar developers find the best land for their new projects. The platform digitally maps, analyses, and compares sites for the success-determining factors for building solar farms, from grid connections to access roads. 

The Solar Start-Up Award is an annual prize presented by SolarPower Europe in recognition of the ground-breaking steps that solar innovators are taking towards a renewable-based energy system.

At the SolarPower Summit 2023 in Brussels, Fredrik Moger, CEO & Co-Founder of Enernite, presented to the audience, alongside his co-finalists. Attendees voted on their favourite projects, and following a tight final vote, Enernite emerged victorious.

In his presentation, Mr Moger outlined how the Enernite’s platform is designed to manage  the risks of developing projects, including environmental analysis, assessing site suitability, and comparing qualified projects, using map data, on-the-ground reports, and imagery.

The four finalists were nominated by the expert panel following a successful online pitch. Alongside Enernite, Thomas Freisen, CTO at Kromatix; Shohib Kabir, Business Development Manager at Withthegrid; and Dr. Wolfram Palitzsch, CEO at LuxChemTech GmbH, presented their work on stage at the SolarPower Summit 2023. 

The Solar Start-Up Award 2023 panel was comprised of Jenny Chase, Solar Analyst at BloombergNEF;  Stefan Müeller , COO, Enerparc AG; and  Michael Schmela, Director of Market Intelligence at SolarPower Europe.
