Meet the team: Juan Carlos Cárdenas Oliva
Juan Carlos is our Senior Finance & Administration Officer at SolarPower Europe, in charge of managing, monitoring, and reviewing our yearly financial goals.
Juan Carlos previously worked as an EMEA Corporate Accounting Trainee at Radisson Hospitality Belgium and before that he worked as a Micro-Credit Analyst at Banco Mundo Mujer in Bogotá, Colombia. He holds an MA in International Business from Vrije Universiteit Brussel and a BA in Finance and International Business from Fundación Universitaria San Martin, Bogotá, Colombia.
Juan Carlos is Colombian and Belgian, and he speaks Spanish, English and French too!
The best part of my work is the opportunity to consistently learn and grow. I'm exposed to new challenges regularly, which helps me develop both professionally and personally. I'm always eager to combine my financial knowledge with the core business of the association to create impactful strategies that drive both solar and financial success.
My favourite professional memories are always ones that involve me interacting with the rest of the team, and if I had to define my team by one word, it would be “passionate”. Passionate about our mission and the work we carry out!
