In a joint industry letter to the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, SolarPower Europe joins 10 European Associations calling for a 45% or higher renewable energy in the EU by 2030.
In March, EU Ministers are expected to negotiate with the European Parliament and the Commission on the EU renewable energy target for 2030.
Only a minimum target of 45% renewables, for 2030, keeps Europe on path for 1.5°C.
